Benrinnes 1996 26-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky, independently bottled by Signatory Vintage as part of their Cask Strength Collection. Matured in Hogsheads (Cask Nos. 11687 + 11702), bottled at cask strength of 53.5%. The 1996 distillation period is widely recognized among Scotch enthusiasts for producing exceptionally oily, robust, a highly sort after independent expressions from Benrinnes. 1 of only 527 bottles.

Given the age of the bottles and seals, the condition of the liquid is at the buyer’s discretion. Bottles can be insured against breakage or loss, not leakage.

About the distillery
Benrinnes is a malt whisky distillery in Aberlour producing an eponymous whisky. It was founded in 1826, and is still active. The distillery employed a unique partial triple distillation process until 2007. The triple distillation process was abandoned in 2007, when it switched to a more common configuration of two wash stills and four spirit stills.In 1896 the distillery was damaged in a fire. It was rebuilt and modernised; the distillery converted to be powered by electricity.
