About this bottle
A spectacular, highly aged Lowland single malt from the Auchentoshan Distillery, distilled in 1987 and matured for an impressive 38 years in a single Sherry Hogshead.
This rare expression was selected and bottled exclusively by legendary London whisky specialist Milroy's of Soho for their prestigious Vintage Reserve series. Known for their triple-distillation process, older Auchentoshan expressions are incredibly rare, making this richly sherried, long-aged bottle a centerpiece for collectors and connoisseurs alike.
Produced as a strictly limited release, only 297 bottles were yielded from the cask.
Lot Conditions
Bottles in this auction are never classed as brand new. Boxes, bottles and packaging may carry marks or creases due to age. Please inspect the photographs closely before bidding, and contact us for an in-depth condition report: if a report is not requested, lots are sold as seen.
Given the age of the bottles and seals, the condition of the liquid is at the buyer’s discretion. Bottles can be insured against breakage or loss, not leakage.
- A 12.5% + VAT buyer’s premium is added to the hammer price.
- Payment is due within three days of the auction ending. After that, a further 5% + VAT of the hammer price is added.

About the distillery
The Auchentoshan distillery lies in the Scottish Lowlands at the shores of the River Clyde. It is one of the few Scottish distilleries that triple distils its Whisky. The triple distillation removes the last bit of fusel oils and other unwanted aromas from the Whisky.
