The Macallan 72 Years Old in Lalique Genesis Decanter is an extraordinarily rare single malt Scotch whisky distilled in the 1940s and released in 2018. It was created to commemorate a monumental milestone in the brand's history: the opening of the new £140 million ($200 million) state-of-the-art distillery and visitor experience in Speyside.
Limited to just 600 individually numbered decanters worldwide, it stands as a legendary holy grail for spirits collectors and investors worldwide!

Bottles in this auction are never classed as brand new. Boxes, bottles and packaging may carry marks or creases due to age. Please inspect the photographs closely before bidding, and contact us for an in-depth condition report: if a report is not requested, lots are sold as seen.
Given the age of the bottles and seals, the condition of the liquid is at the buyer’s discretion. Bottles can be insured against breakage or loss, not leakage.
- A 12.5% + VAT buyer’s premium is added to the hammer price.
- Payment is due within three days of the auction ending. After that, a further 5% + VAT of the hammer price is added.

About the distillery
The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray, Scotland. The Macallan Distillers Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Edrington, which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
The Macallan is generally considered to be the second or third highest-selling single-malt scotch, next to Glenfiddich and, by some accounts, Glenlivet.
