The Glenfarclas Pagoda Series pays tribute to the pagoda-style kiln invented by Charles Doig over 130 years ago, an integral part of historic malt whisky production, and now a Scotch whisky icon.
Completing Glenfarclas’ prestigious Pagoda Series, the Sapphire Reserve 1953 63-Year-Old Gold Edition is the oldest Glenfarclas whisky ever released, and was bottled from one of the last 1953 distilled casks in the distillery warehouses.
This is the extremely rare Gold 1.5ltr Edition Magnum, Only 45 of these beautiful bottles were produced. This is Decanter 13 of 45.

About the Distillery:
Glenfarclas distillery a Speyside whisky distillery in Ballindalloch, Scotland. Glenfarclas translates as meaning valley of the green grass. The distillery is owned and run by the Grant family. The distillery has six stills which are the largest on Speyside and are heated directly by gas burners.
The distillery has a production capacity of around 4 million litres of spirit per year. Normally four stills are used for production with two kept in reserve.
