Description

Lingdarroch Ex-Glen Moray - - Single Malt 62.8° - 70cl Distilled on 26/10/2020 then bottled on 19/08/2021. Limited edition of 278 bottles aged in Glen Moray casks.

A whisky that has been aged for less than a year is usually called a "distilled spirit" or "new make spirit". This means that it is a distillate that has just come off the still, but has not yet reached the age necessary to be officially considered whisky. During this period, the liquid rests in oak barrels to acquire flavours and aging characteristics. Once it has aged for at least a year (or longer depending on legal regulations), it can be called whisky.
