The Gordon & MacPhail 85 Year Old from Glenlivet Distillery, "Artistry in Oak" #336 is the world's oldest single malt Scotch whisky ever bottled, released in 2025. This highly sought-after, limited-edition whisky was distilled in 1940 and is presented in a bespoke decanter designed by architect Jeanne Gang.
The unique decanter, titled "Artistry in Oak," was designed by acclaimed American architect Jeanne Gang to reflect the relationship between nature, time, and craftsmanship, featuring a hand-blown glass vessel encased by bronze branches.
Aroma: Soft, aged leather, apricot compote, cinnamon, and subtle waxy citrus fruits, with hints of vanilla, dried sultana, aniseed, beeswax polish, and subtle smoky undertones.
Palate: Smooth yet vibrant, with notes of cracked black pepper, sweet dried tobacco, Seville orange peel, rich plum, and Morello cherry, balanced by gentle oak spice.
Finish: A long and full-bodied finish, with lingering herbal notes and refined complexity.

About the Distillery:
The Glenlivet distillery is a distillery near Ballindalloch in Moray, Scotland that produces single malt Scotch whisky. It is the oldest legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet, and the production place of the Scottish whisky of the same name. It was founded in 1824 and has operated almost continuously since. The distillery remained open throughout the Great Depression and its only closure came during World War II. The Glenlivet distillery has grown in the post-war period to become one of the biggest single malt distilleries.
