Glen Elgin 12 Year Old - Chorlton Whisky
Description
The Glen Elgin 12 Year Old Chorlton Whisky is a highly limited, single-cask independent bottling distilled in Speyside, Scotland. It was distilled in 2009, aged in a single refill ex-bourbon hogshead for 12 years, and bottled in 2021 at a natural cask strength of 56.6% ABV without chill-filtration or added colouring. Because it was drawn from a single cask, only 287 bottles exist worldwide, featuring Chorlton Whisky's signature artistic label depicting a fruit-picking scene.

About the Distillery:
Glen Elgin Distillery nestles quietly in the heart of Speyside. Situated approximately three miles south of Elgin on the road to Rothes, it was the last distillery to be built during the boom years of the 1890s. The architect, Charles Doig, stated it would be the last one built in Speyside for 50 years. His prediction was remarkably accurate with Tormore being the next distillery built, in 1958.
