The Craigellachie 17 Year Old 2008 (Cask #7547083) is a highly limited, single-cask Speyside single malt independent bottling released by Duncan Taylor as part of their acclaimed The Octave collection.
Duncan Taylor’s The Octave series utilizes octaves, which are small casks roughly 1/8th the size of a standard butt (approx. 50-60 litres). This smaller size creates a vastly higher wood-to-liquid ratio, accelerating the secondary maturation and imparting intense cask characteristics to the spirit in a short period

About the Distillery:
The Craigellachie distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Aberlour, Banffshire near the village of Craigellachie at the centre of the Speyside whisky producing area of Scotland. The name Craigellachie means 'rocky hill' and refers to the cliff that overlooks the Spey across from The Macallan distillery.
Bacardi operates the distillery through its subsidiary Dewar & Sons. Dewar & Sons also controls Royal Brackla, Aberfeldy, Aultmore, and Macduff.
