About this bottle
The Dallas Dhu 1982 (bottled 2005) Gordon & MacPhail is a highly collectible independent bottling of single malt Scotch whisky from a historic "lost" distillery.
This expression represents some of the very last liquid ever produced at Dallas Dhu. The distillery, whose name translates to "Black Water Valley" in Gaelic, officially ceased production and closed its doors in 1983. Since its closure, the physical site has been preserved as an official whisky museum by Historic Environment Scotland, though recent initiatives have explored plans to potentially revive production.

Bottles in this auction are never classed as brand new. Boxes, bottles and packaging may carry marks or creases due to age. Please inspect the photographs closely before bidding, and contact us for an in-depth condition report: if a report is not requested, lots are sold as seen.
Given the age of the bottles and seals, the condition of the liquid is at the buyer’s discretion. Bottles can be insured against breakage or loss, not leakage.

- Payment is due within three days of the auction ending. After that, a further 5% + VAT of the hammer price is added.

About the distillery
The Dallas Dhu Distillery was founded in 1899 by the Glasgow-based company Wright & Greig Ltd. Llike most distilleries during this time, production was completely dedicated to the blended industry. The word ‘dallas’ is derived from the gaelic word ‘dalais’, which means Valley and water.
