Description
The Macallan Concept Series is a collection of Limited annual release whiskies that combines the passion for whisky making with the passion of visionaries - bold, confident individuals who have positively disrupted the status quo with fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
The Macallan Concept Number 1 makes manifest the continuous search for excellence - one that pushes beyond the traditional boundaries of process and cask selection. Created from whiskies matured first in sherry-seasoned oak casks and then for an equal time in ex-bourbon casks. The Macallan Concept Number 1 is a whisky created to explore maturation more imaginatively. 40% ABV
The Macallan Concept Number 2 is the melding of the music and whisky world. Created from whiskies matured first in sherry-seasoned American oak casks and then for an equal time in ex-bourbon casks. 40% ABV
The Macallan Concept Number 3 is the third and final release in the Concept series. A collaboration with David Carson, this release brings together the worlds of whisky and culture. Created from whiskies matured in fresh fill sherry butts before being enhanced in ex-bourbon barrels and selected refill and virgin oak casks. 40.8 ABV

About the Distillery:
The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray, Scotland. The Macallan Distillers Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Edrington, which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
The Macallan is generally considered to be the second or third highest-selling single-malt scotch, next to Glenfiddich and, by some accounts, Glenlivet.
