GLENALLACHIE - 2015 BOURBON BARREL #213 / HELD IN BOND (PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION IN FULL)

CASK HELD IN BOND @ WHISKY BROKER LTD - REGAUGED 11/01/2023 171.04 BULK LITRES - 66% ABV.

This lot offers the buyer the opportunity to own a cask of 7 year old Glenallachie Whisky which was distilled in 2015, held in bond at Whisky Broker Ltd.

Originally filled with Glenallachie spirit on 10th August 2015, the whisky has since been maturing in Bourbon Barrel (#213).

The cask was re-gauged on the 11th January 2023, with the following information:

- Original bulk 193.73 litres - Original strength 67% ABV - 129.8 litres of alcohol.

- New bulk 171.04 litres - New strength 66% ABV.

This would currently yield approximately 244 x 70cl bottles of cask strength Glenallachie Whisky. 

PLEASE NOTE:

The cask photo shown is of the actual cask being sold and the sample drawn from this cask is shown for confirmation of the colour only and is not included in the sale.

UNOFFICIAL TASTING NOTES:

COLOUR: Brilliant pale yellow gold
NOSE: Light and sweet with some bold vanilla and honey undertones. Almonds and oak present.
PALATE: Oily vanilla notes overlaid with fresh summer fruits.
BODY: Robust yet surprisingly elegant.
FINISH: Residual new-make spirit overtones, fruity and a bit waxy.

VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING : -

1. The buyer of this cask will have to - 

a) Have an existing account with Whisky Broker Ltd or 

b) Apply and be accepted for an account with Whisky Broker Ltd before Cask Ownership can commence. Cask ownership will not transfer until this process is completed.

c) Any fees associated with the account application at Whisky Broker Ltd will be solely at the buyers expense. 

2. Annual storage fees and any cask transfer admin fees will become payable by the buyer.

3. Legal ownership of the cask will be transferred to the buyer once payment has been received by WVA Whisky Auctions.  Funds will be held by WVA Whisky Auctions until the buyer is in legal receipt of the cask ownership to protect the buyer's transaction. 

4. Ownership of this cask is auctioned in bond.  The buyer will be responsible for any costs relating to removing the cask from bond in the future (i.e UK excise duty / VAT) as well as any other costs associated with cask movement and bottling.

5. Non-UK buyers must appoint a duty representative to act on his/her behalf for transfer of ownership of the cask. The duty representative will need to be registered with HMRC and will normally charge an annual fee for the service.

6. Please note if the new owner is a UK revenue trader (business or private individual connected to the trade), they will need to be registered with HMRC and hold a WOWGR certificate.
