Description
This lot features 3 x 70cl bottles of Glenmorangie.
1 - Glenmorangie A Tale Of Winter Limited Edition -
A warm and spicy single malt from Glenmorangie that embodies all of the comfort of a Christmas jumper. Matured for 13 years and finished in Marsala wine casks from Sicily, this whisky offers aromas of orange toffee, lavender honey, rose petals and overripe fruits that fill the nose.
2 - Glenmorangie A Tale Of The Forest Limited Edition -
Lush and herbaceous, Glenmorangie A Tale Of The Forest is the distillery's first whisky crafted from barley kilned with woodland botanicals, including juniper berries, birch bark and heather flowers.
Inspired by the ever-changing natural wonder he encounters when wandering the forest near his home, Director of Whisky Creation, Dr Bill Lumsden, brought back an ancient method of infusing barley with botanicals for this limited-edition release.
3 - Glenmorangie A Tale Of Cake Limited Edition -
Glenmorangie’s director of whisky creation Dr. Bill Lumsden was recently musing on how some of his most joyful memories involved cake, which inspired the good doctor to make a whisky evoking those cake-filled moments! Glenmorangie's A Tale of Cake was initially matured in bourbon casks, before being moved over to Tokaji wine casks to help develop those yummy cakey notes.

About the Distillery:
According to the Glenmorangie Company, the earliest record of the production of alcohol at Morangie Farm is dated 1703. In the 1730s a brewery was built on the site that shared the farm's water source, the Tarlogie Spring. A former distillery manager, William Matheson, acquired the farm in 1843 and converted the Morangie brewery to a distillery, equipped with two-second hand gin stills. He later renamed the distillery Glenmorangie.
The distillery was purchased by its main customer, the Leith firm Macdonald and Muir, in 1918. The Macdonald family would retain control of the company for almost 90 years.
