About the Distillery:
The english whisky co. came to life in 2005 when james nelstrop applied for planning permission for the first registered whisky distillery in england for over a century. 15 years later the distillery is dedicated to the production of the very finest single malt whisky. Based at Roudham in Norfolk, this site has everything needed to make great whisky. Beneath the distillery lies the Breckland Aquifer, the huge body of water that provides both the crystal clear water for cutting the whisky for bottling and also all cooling needs as the water comes out of the ground at a consistent 11deg. East Anglia is famed for its Barley production, after it has been malted by Crisps who are also based in Norfolk; they also keep the maltiing barley that is grown on the Nelstrop family farms separate in the malting process, so they can tell which field the barley came from and even who drove the combine used to harvest it.
