Description
Bimber Duality - A unity of peated whisky from Bimber with well-aged, sherry-forward malt from Glendullan. This whisky has been created in collaboration with the exceptional alchemists at Compass Box, who have been challenging whisky conventions not too far away from us in Chiswick, London since 2000. This collaborative release with Compass Box explores the symmetry and contrast between sherry-matured whiskies and heavily peated malts. Components from England and Scotland have been fused to juxtaposition youth and maturity with texture and intensity. The Duality release takes textural, vibrantly fruity peated Bimber drawn from an ex-bourbon barrel and combines it with a parcel of venerable 1st fill sherry from Glendullan Distillery. Bimber released Duality at the same time as Compass Box launch their take on peat and sherry under the same name. A duo of dualities for whisky lovers to share and enjoy. One of 340 bottles.
Compass Box Duality - A delicious collaboration between Compass Box and the team at Bimber Distillery. Bimber have been producing eye-poppingly tasty single malts from their home in north-west London since 2016.
Celebrating a new generation of whiskymaking Compass Box followed the age-old Scotch whisky tradition of cask swapping, moved to their shared heartland, they were once again able to explore new ideas and flavours within whisky and celebrate the art of blending. Bottled at 52%, not Chill-Filtered, natural Colour and with lead Whiskymaker James Saxon. With a huge, multi-faceted peatiness buttressed by salted caramel is driven from a peaty spirit favourite of Compass Box, with mango, raisin and honey from an incredible PX sherry cask from Bimber.
