Description
In honour of 125 years of whisky production, Glenfiddich released this limited edition single malt Scotch whisky in 2012. In 1887 the first Glenfiddich spirit flowed from the stills, the barley was traditionally malted in kilns at the distillery over furnaces fuelled with dried local peat, infusing it wuith a unique smokiness. Brian Kingsman, Glenfiddich’s sixth Malt Master in 125 years has carefully crafted a this unique Single Malt Whisky using traditional methods begun by William Grant. The unusual depth and smokiness found in this whisky are a result of the unique marriage of peated Glenfiddich whiskies matured in mainly European oak casks.

In the 1920s, with prohibition in force in the US, Glenfiddich was one of a very small number of distilleries to increase production.
