The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
The 25 year old sherry oak Macallan is one of the most sought after whiskies in the world. This is a a version from the mid-2010s, featuring the Whisky Tint numbers introduced by Bob Dalgarno to highlight the natural colour of Macallan (the fifth of their Six Pillars), and the cornerstone of the 1824 Series which was produced from 2012 to 2018.
