Description
This exceptional 12-year-old Macallan single malt, aged solely in sherry oak casks, was released in the mid-2000s as part of the exclusive Woodland Estate Limited Edition.
As a tribute to the bond between Macallan’s whisky and the oak casks that shape its character, the distillery planted 1,000 trees on its estate in 2005.
This edition was originally sold exclusively at the distillery, where buyers could link their bottle to one of the newly planted trees. Bottle No.666 of 1000.

About the Distillery:
The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray, Scotland. The Macallan Distillers Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Edrington, which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
The Macallan is generally considered to be the second or third highest-selling single-malt scotch, next to Glenfiddich and, by some accounts, Glenlivet.
