The Macallan The Archival Series - Folio 3 is a highly collectible, limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky released in 2018 as the third installment in the Archival Series, which pays homage to the brand's vintage advertising campaigns. The original release was a distillery exclusive, limited to approximately 2,000 bottles.
This 2018 release is presented in a distinctive book-shaped presentation tin box that showcases a pencil-style illustration from a Victorian-era Punch magazine advert used in a late eighties/early nineties Macallan advertising campaign. The campaign celebrated the idea that whisky is best made in cold weather, featuring two people playing on the snow-covered slopes of Ben Rinnes.

The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray, Scotland. The Macallan Distillers Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Edrington, which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
The Macallan is generally considered to be the second or third highest-selling single-malt scotch, next to Glenfiddich and, by some accounts, Glenlivet.
